2025 SJC National Aviation Week Sticker Search

Tuesday, Aug. 19 marks National Aviation Day and the beginning of National Aviation Week. While we celebrate the history and magic of aviation, we also want to celebrate and thank YOU, our beloved passengers!

For the first time ever, we’re hosting a National Aviation Week Sticker Search in our terminals from Aug. 19 through Sept. 1, 2025 (while supplies lasts). Follow the below clues to find and collect all 12 exclusive Ernie + Friends stickers! [Hold on, what's up with the baby chickens aka SJC’s first passengers?]

How to Play

  1. Read the clues below and go to the locations they're describing.
  2. Once you think you’ve found the correct location, locate an employee at the restaurant or store. Tell them, “I’m here for the Sticker Search!”

  3. If you found the correct location, they will present you with your sticker. (This is FREE. You may only receive one sticker per location per person.)

    Note: The Sticker Search is only available during each location’s operating hours.

Clues

Terminal A (Post-Security)
1. Kick back in the lounge with Jim. The number of the gate where you’ll find your sticker? It rhymes with “Great.”

2. STICKERS HAVE RUN OUT AT THIS LOCATION. Our employees love grabbing bagels at this Gate 11 stop. Paul goes here on his lunch break, at breakfast before his shift, at dinner after his shift ... he really loves bagels. And also stickers. Pick one up here!

3. Where does public safety meet sub sandwich excellence? You’ll find the answer (and your sticker) at Gate 11.

4. Minnie is the shopping QUEEN, and she loves that she can find souvenirs, snacks and other travel essentials at this Gate 11 store.

5. STICKERS HAVE RUN OUT AT THIS LOCATION. Ernie is so fresh and so clean – especially after he takes a shower at The Club SJC. (Yes, they really have shower facilities.) Your sticker awaits at Gate 15.

Terminal B (Post-Security)
6. “Mac + cheese 4 lyfe.” -Robbie the Baby Chick
If you too live by The Way of the Cheese, Robbie has a cool sticker waiting for you around Gate 19.

7. Aloha! This tropical restaurant at Gate 22 has exclusive SJC tiki mugs for you to purchase and collect. You’ll also get your free tiki-inspired sticker here.

8. Who wants a smoothie? You can find Ernie’s favorite flavor near Gate 23.

9. Jim wants to buy Pat a ginormous box of chocolates. He just adores her. He’ll SEE what he can find at Gate 24.

10. Whenever Maria gets to the Airport, her first stop is coffee. Find some (and a relatable sticker) at this Gate 25 spot.

11. STICKERS HAVE RUN OUT AT THIS LOCATION. Ernie wears his heart on his sleeve, and he's proud to live in San José and to represent SJC. Pick up a sticker at this ~essential~ store near Gate 26.

Pre-Security
12. Ernie believes every day is an adventure – so venture over to either the European cafe in Terminal A Baggage Claim OR the marketplace in Terminal B Baggage Claim to find his National Aviation Week commemorative sticker. (You don’t need a plane ticket to access these locations, they’re public!)

The National Aviation Week Sticker Search is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. Passengers can participate and collect these stickers from Tuesday, August 19 through Tuesday, September 1, 2025 while supplies lasts.
