SJC Superstars Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

Since 2001, people around the world have put on their high heels and joined the award-winning advocacy event, Walk a Mile in Their Shoes. 

This year on June 22, a team of superstars from SJC participated in the march that took place at Santana Row in San José.

Airport Operations and Marketing and Communications representatives walked the walk to help raise awareness on the sexualized violence that is still present in our society. The first steps we can all take towards reducing the physical or psychological violence targeting sexuality or gender is to learn to recognize the early signs and talk about it. Afterwards, we must educate ourselves and others with the principles of respect for all, and fight the biases that society still faces. 

At SJC, we foster an inclusive work environment. We aim to set an example for others to follow so we can make the world safer for everyone around us.
